Hurry! Vote today!
I hope that you revise your decision !!! Says nenadys on August 28, 2007, 02:55 AMYup! I agreed too! I hope that you revise your decision... Says jackooi on August 28, 2007, 03:57 AMI tot I saw Nenad Djedovic design in the final 20 when the list 1st came out and not Chian Meng P'ng's design? What happened? Its not fair and knowing the competition is based to certain people only ... it doesnt make sense to vote anymore. Says jackooi on August 28, 2007, 04:25 AMI give thanks and apologize all voters who is voted for my design "Consulting company" advertisement, but this design work after one day is removed from final round of competition. Reason why ? from 123rf = me dissatisfactory(explaination some i receive after protest is to bad)!!! I think, if my design is worst, or not enough voting, or consist other reasons, cannot be in the next stage immediately, such not after one day....
I have another design in final round but please DONT VOTE !!!
Congratulations all winners !!!
Best regards !
Nenad Djedovic - Nenadys Says nenadys on August 28, 2007, 07:38 AMDear All,
I wish to make this clear for everybody. I can offer an explanation to what happened. The results of the Final Round was based on an automatic calculation of votes for Rounds 1 to 4.
Therefore, you'd see the top 5 voted designs from each Round, automatically.
What the judges do after EVERY ROUND is to:
1. MANUALLY Sift through the log of votes and determine which votes are genuine and which are not.
2. Then the judges have to sit down and draw votes for the voters and determine who has won the lucky draw.
What you saw in the final round results yesterday was an automatic tally, but after the judges and the technical board sat down and filtered the votes, it became very VERY evident that a lot of the voters are "ghost" voters - Hastily created accounts designed to game the system.
It took about a day to get everything finalized due to the quantum of votes we had and unfortunately Nenad's design had fallen to 6th place after the filtration had taken place.
After the logs have been re-fed into the system, then do we get the true results.
Design 2171 (Intrique) was in first place - Please let me make this ABSOLUTELY clear - design 2171 was in first place, even without the filtering of the results! Design 2163 (Globotreker) was in second place in a close 2nd place.
Then followed by 2177, 2162 and 2153 (Nenad's)
After filtering, we found that 2153 dropped off to 6th place to be replaced by 2150 which climbed to the 4th spot. There was some switching of places but I wouldn't want to go into detail about it.
It is our belief that we acted in the FAIREST manner possible for everyone's benefit, as it would be totally unfair to allow ghost voters to propel a design to the top. Don't you think the ones who play by the rules should be the rightful winners, right?
Once more, let me remind you, both voters and designers alike that we created this competition in the spirit of fairplay and to see just how creative you guys truly are with the wealth of material on 123RF for design.
According to the Terms and Conditions of the Competition, please remember that I did say...
1. All votes must be genuine.
2. 123RF.com reserves the right to permanently ban the member's accounts if any member is found to be manipulating and/or abuses the votes and voting system.
3. Members are not allowed to create multiple accounts to cast votes and influence the outcome of the contest.
Please feel free to refer to the contest rules here: http://www.123rf.com/submit/designcontest.php
Results are not FINAL until you see the official post on the 123RF Blog here.
I thank you for voting and participating, we still have 1 more round to go, let's not ruin it for the winners, yes?
Thanks!
Alex
