Change Your Watermark Positions for Better Visibility!

For some time now, we have thought that perhaps we should reposition our watermark but for the life of us, we can't seem to figure out the perfect position! So we thought, why not give the Contributors the chance to decide for themselves?

And a few months down the road... you now can! The tool can be found at: http://submit.123rf.com/watermark_pos.php so do log in first before heading there.

The tool is very easy to use, with a keywords filter and your latest uploaded images will be shown first. There are preview buttons for you to check the final placement. All adjusted positions will be updated in a 24 hour cycle. So please do be patient!

With that, we would like to thank the initial 20 Contributors who helped us Beta test the Watermark tool shortly before Christmas 2007, your comments and suggestions have been instrumental in improving it!

This is very useful. You are doing great job.I will lake one more thing, your site doesn't recognize when I write the keywords in Windows, so I have to copy them manually.

Best regards Sima

Sima, thanks for your comment, but what do you mean by "your site doesn't recognize when I write the keywords in Windows, so I have to copy them manually."?

For EXIF/IPTC data I am using File info in WIN XP
(right click the File, click Properties summary tab).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exif
check out "Viewing Exif data"

It says:

In Windows XP and later Microsoft operating systems, a subset of the Exif information may be viewed by right clicking on an image file and clicking properties; from the properties dialog click the Summary tab. However, this will damage certain Exif headers if changes are applied.

I'have realized for myself and could advise to others what the most confortable way of insertig IPTC data is using tools of ACDSee (from v. 8 thru Pro2). You easily can put any informating, plus assistance in keywording, plus batch inserting of any IPTC info. Concerning 123RF's needs it works for 100%!

The reply is yes, but let me add a note. Sorry but I think to solve definitively the problem the 123 stuff should create a different watermark as like as other sites have. The current watermark is big but not able to cover different zones of the photographs. Probably some very pronounced diagonal together a movable orizontal lines (or littler logo) should be the best solution and a lot of contributors even could avoid to make change!
